The EZ-Access ORBIT® Patient Transfer Lift is an American-made, safe, and convenient device to assist in the lifting and transferring of patients with limited mobility. This unique patient transfer lift features an articulating arm and a pivoting stanchion that each rotate 360 degrees to provide precise all-around flexibility, even in tight spaces. Designed to be used with a Portable Lift and a sling, the ORBIT’s non-intrusive design allows the unit to be placed in small bathrooms or anywhere in a home or even a school.
The ORBIT® has two reach options. The 4' arm offers an 8' range of motion and 600 lb weight capacity. The 5' arm offers a 10' range of motion and features a 440 lb weight capacity. A patient's caregiver can easily perform a transfer with confidence knowing they have the flexibility to effortlessly position the patient wherever needed. The unit can also adapt to various ceiling heights with its two (2) height range options. Models are available for ceilings between 8' and 10', as well as between 8' and 12' (optional - additional cost). With its articulating arm and stanchion each rotating 360 degrees, allowing unmatched range of motion in all directions, the ORBIT® is the ideal transfer solution for homes and schools.
The articulating arm also features a 3-point height adjustment that offers the flexibility to set vertical clearance as needed in order to accommodate a variety of doorway heights, extending the reach by allowing a patient to be transferred from outside a doorway into a room and back out (if needed).
Installation is simple and can be performed by the home owner. Complete instructions for installing the ORBIT®into wood, concrete or concrete block are provided and telephone support is available at no charge. The ORBIT® comes almost fully assembled out of the box. The arm just needs to be attached to the stanchion and the unit can then be installed and minor adjustments made.
Unlike fixed track, rolling or portable lifting systems, the ORBIT® is not intrusive. Its compact design allows the ORBIT® to be mounted out of the way, in a location that’s most convenient. The unit only takes up 8" by 4" of floor space. The standard floor-to-wall or floor-to-ceiling mount system provides flexibility and reduces clutter. When wall mounted and not in use, the arm may be folded flat to the wall and out of the way. When mounted in the middle of the room from floor to ceiling , the arm may be folded in half and positioned in any direction.
Multiple ORBITs can be installed throughout your home for ultimate convenience. Simply move the separately-purchased Portable Lift from one ORBIT® to another ORBIT® and transfer can begin. If you need to relocate an ORBIT®, moving it is a simple process and usually requires minimal repair work. A variety of adjustments are available to ensure safety, as well as controlled operation, such as the brake to slow the rotation of the stanchion by creating drag, allowing precise control. The unit is made of steel and is powder coated white. The ORBIT® Patient Transfer Lift features the EZ-Access 5-year manufacturer's warranty and is manufactured in the U.S.A.
