WHY GEL-FREE PADS?

The KWIKtest Gel-Free Pads are essential because urine is absorbed too efficiently into the gel beads of a diaper. However, the KWIKtest Gel-Free Pad retains enough urine for analysis using our KWIKtest UTI Test Strip.

HOW IT WORKS

The KWIKtest UTI Test works by first applying a KWIKtest Gel-Free Pad to the inside of the diaper. After urination occurs, the caregiver, using a gloved hand, presses the colored squares on the KWIKtest UTI Test Strip onto the damp KWIKtest Gel-Free Pad for a few seconds to allow the squares to absorb the urine adequately. After sufficient absorption, the caregiver compares the color of the squares to the color blocks on the color chart provided in the instruction sheet for easy interpretation. This method simplifies the identification of Leukocytes or Nitrites, even in small amounts.
